Volunteers make a difference

Would you like to be a volunteer for the Richard and Pat Johnson Palm Beach County History Museum? Do you like working with people and have an interest in the history of the county? Then Join us today!

Many volunteer opportunities exist, including docent, bookshop assistant, office assistant, special events assistant, and in the archives department.

Museum Tour Docents interact with the visitors and lead tours within the Richard and Pat Johnson Palm Beach County History Museum. Docents are trained in a 9-week program held once a year, and Docents are asked to be able to commit to a regular schedule of tours at the Museum.

College and University Internships are available to qualified students. The Society collaborates with Florida Atlantic University (Honors College and Main Campus History Departments), Palm Beach Atlantic University, Florida State University, and other interested universities.

For further information about volunteering, please call Rhonda Gordon at (561) 832-4164 ext 110 or email: rgordon@historicalsocietypbc.org.
